In the second of our Get Into programs, we are excited to launch our Get Into Disability and Aged Care.
Certificate III in Individual Care.
This is a fee-free program designed for people who are interested in a career in the disability or aged care sector.
In an industry with lots of available jobs, flexible shifts, a good hourly rate of pay, and the chance for ongoing training, upskilling and career advancement, there's never been a better time to consider training as a support worker.
Study CHC33021 (new) Certificate III in Individual Support with the support of Jewish House Jobs.
At present, there is a fee waiver/ zero enrolment fee* in place for this new qualification for the following:
- People working in Aged Care, Disability, Community Care, Childcare OR
- A person aged 16 to 24 at the commencement of training OR
- A person who is the recipient of Commonwealth Government welfare benefit
* Students must be either an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, NZ passport holders and live in NSW.
The college we are partnering with is an approved Training Provider for NSW Smart and Skilled funding, this FEE FREE training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
About the course:
This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for Aged Care AINs, Disability Support Workers, and Community Carers in a residential and/or community care setting. This qualification will empower personal carers with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide care to the elderly and people living with disabilities.
Workers may be in a residential aged care home, disability group homes, day programs, community care and private homes.
On completion of the course, students will be job-ready and able to provide personalised physical and emotional support and companionship to residents and participants.

- Workplace visits, to conduct assessments, observations and provide face to face support (one on one or small groups)
About Work Placement:
- A minimum of 120 hours to fulfil the requirements of the qualification.
- Students may utilise work hours as an alternative to undertaking a 120-hour work placement (suitability conditions apply)
- We can assist students to find a host for placement if required via our established network of Aged Care and Disability Support service providers and Community Care industry partners.
- We visit you at work, to conduct assessments and workplace observations, to finalise workplace evidence requirements.
